Why should SNOMED CT map to Loinic ?

LOINC is not just for Lab Tests, though it is extensively used for Labs. We use LOINC for Reports and Microbiology requests. For Microbiology resulting we have selected SNOMED CT.

LONIC is the code system for Lab. tests.
SNOMED CT is the code system for clinical terms.
In real world, doctors don't need to associate the two systems.
