The GPS provides the following for all SNOMED CT concepts within the SNOMED CT International Edition:
Unique identifiers (ID)
Fully specified names (FSN)
Preferred terms (PT) in international English, and
Status flags
The GPS is made available globally at no cost to users.
The GPS does not include SNOMED CT’s relationships, hierarchies and remaining descriptions.
The GPS supports health information interoperability across care settings, systems, organizations and national borders.
