From the first releases spanning 2019 to 2025, the GPS was a scoped and managed list of SNOMED CT concepts.
In 2026, SNOMED International enhanced the scope of the GPS to include all content within the SNOMED CT International edition.
The GPS provides the following for all SNOMED CT concepts:
Unique identifiers (ID)
Fully specified names (FSN)
Preferred terms (PT) in international English, and
Status flags
