Whilst implementation of SNOMED CT does not incur a licence fee for use within a SNOMED International Member country, implementers are required to accept the SNOMED CT Affiliate licence prior to use. The licence sets out requirements for implementers for the use of SNOMED CT. In addition, being registered allows SNOMED International and it's Members to contact users in the event of issues related to the release.
